Centre for Comparative Corporate Finance Law

The centre serves to research and communicate the legal basis and economic framework of corporate financing. This includes all types (equity, debt, mezzanine capital), purposes (private equity, venture capital, capital market financing) and forms of legal implementation (shares, additional contributions, financing instruments) of financing. The hermeneutic focus lies in the addition of the economic-legal comparative analysis and the conflict-of-laws perspective to the usual canon of methods. In this way, an intra- and interdisciplinary expansion of the horizon of understanding of financing law is aimed at. Thus, existing practice can be better researched academically and then further developed.
